In CLOSECYCLE 16 showcases aim to demonstrate best practices and innovative solutions for the valorisation of residue-based bioresources from rural and urban areas to produce multiple products for the use within the region. The different showcase examples are assigned to 6 thematic topics: Apple Chain, Nature Conservation, Greenhouses, Treenurseries, Municipality and farms and Food Crops. We also show how Territorial Biorefinery Networks (TBN) can be initiated by bringing together regional stakeholders in order to use the regional potentials efficiently and synergetic to close cycles on the example of several pilot regions in the CLOSECYCLE countries.
