On June, 7th, the biowaste cargo bike from our partner TUHH was used by the Hamburg Open Online University to transport biogas. Later that day used for preparing a delicious meal at the event BioGAStmahl. The biogas was produced in the TUHH's demonstration micro biogas plant in Wilhelmsburg. The meals were prepared and eaten in the Altona District where this inspiring festival took place. They organised a bike tour around it. At the festival location the food was prepared from saved food. The biogas was produced from food waste. The participants had a meal together. The BioGAStmahl is part of a larger series of events, called WATTWanderungen. The event used the infrastructure of CLOSECYCLE and the vision of CLOSECYCLE was spread! A day full of circularity and re-using residual waste streams.
