Holiday Resorts
The North Sea region is a popular holiday destination for visitors from the region itself and beyond. Many holiday makers prefer staying in holiday resorts offering comfort of facilities within a compact area. These consist of non-residential buildings with different functions like lodging, catering, offices, sports facilities, playing rooms and often swimming pools and wild-water outdoor driveways. Despite energy-saving measures and renewable energy generation, optimizing the resort's energy system remains a challenge.
Underpinned by pilots, the Holiday Resorts project demonstrates innovative energy solutions that deliver accelerated revenue streams and energy efficiency. The Holiday Resorts project assesses smart and integral energy system solutions (electricity, heat and cold) and includes innovative cutting-edge technology and data collection techniques for the integration of electric mobility, energy exchange with external players as well as financial and behavioral aspects.
