Oldenburg stands out for its unique blend of heritage, innovation, and commitment to regional development. Known for its charming old town, canals, and progressive spirit, the city provides the perfect backdrop for taking stock of the programme status and touching upon a future North Sea Region Programme.

• June 24: Kick-off with an evening reception and welcome from the hosts in Oldenburg.
• June 25: A day of engaging study visits and an impactful plenary session focused on the pressing issues and opportunities in the North Sea Region.
• June 26: In connection to the conference, The North Sea Commission will also hold different events on this day, including their Annual Business Meeting.

The North Sea Conference has long been a cornerstone event for stakeholders across the region, fostering dialogue and partnerships on key topics such as the green transition and climate resilience. With the last North Sea Conference held in November 2023, there’s much to build on as we reconvene in June 2025. The event organisers are already hard at work developing an inspiring agenda that will foster collaboration and networking for all the event participants. Oldenburg’s role as host city promises to add a cultural and historical dimension to this year’s gathering.

The 2025 conference is a collaborative effort, hosted by:

• Office for Regional Development Weser-Ems
• The North Sea Commission, and
• The Interreg North Sea Programme.
