Laholm Municipality

We are pleased to partner with Laholm Municipality, a proactive Swedish local authority with a strong focus on sustainable community planning and future-oriented energy development.

As the public body responsible for spatial planning in the region, Laholm plays a crucial role in aligning infrastructure projects — such as hydrogen production and distribution — with regulatory, environmental, and safety frameworks. Their expertise ensures that developments meet Swedish municipal requirements while supporting broader climate and energy goals.

By participating in this project, Laholm seeks to expand its knowledge of hydrogen technologies and integrate local planning efforts into a larger, cross-border context. The municipality brings valuable insight into permitting processes, licensing, and community engagement — all essential elements for successfully implementing hydrogen infrastructure at regional level.

Through this collaboration, Laholm contributes a clear authority perspective to discussions on energy transition and aims to strengthen its role in enabling safe, efficient, and well-coordinated hydrogen deployment.
