Flanders Environment Agency (VMM)

Improving access to environmental and climate data for policymakers in Flanders, especially those with limited capacity. 

The VMM supports the development of Ecosystems for Innovation (EFIs) to accelerate climate adaptation solutions. The VMM will promote new connections with innovation stakeholders in Flanders to establish an improved digital hub for environmental and climate data. This will help decision-makers in Flanders to make better-informed decisions based on sound estimates of related impacts and costs.

The VMM is committed to:

• a better understanding of the information needs of decision-makers with limited capabilities, 
• the development of a free service based on state-of-the-art environmental and climate data, 
• the development of training to turn data into action.
