Interreg North Sea Conference 2023 in Rotterdam, 29.11.2023
The North Sea Conference 2023 brought together a varied audience, including stakeholders, policymakers, and experts from the North Sea Region. The conference provided a platform for discussions and knowledge-sharing on topics like sustainable development. Our communications manager Jan-Willem van Kruyssen represented DARKER SKY and engaged in networking and fostering collaborations. The conference paved the way for future initiatives and partnerships to address key challenges and promote sustainable development in the North Sea Region.
'The Dark Side of the Light' premiere at Planetarium Hamburg, 30.11.23
The event focused the premiere of the film "The Dark Side of Light," a collaborative effort by various planetariums addressing the issue of light pollution. This thought-provoking film is now being featured in their programmes. Ahead of the premiere, our project partners took the opportunity to engage in discussions about light pollution and showcase our project.
Annual EU family meeting in Hamburg, 15.01.2024
HAW Hamburg (University of Applied Science Hamburg), BA Altona (Municipality of Hamburg- Altone) and REM Consult represented DARKER SKY during the Hamburger ‘Familientreffen der EU-Projektakteure 2024’, organised by the Senate Chancellery of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (FFH) at the Hamburg City Hall.
This event is an annual network event of FHH with participation of diverse Hamburg actors from public authorities/departments, academic organisations, companies, NGOs, etc. involved in different EU projects and programmes (Interreg, Horizon Europe, CERV, etc.). This year there were around 200 participants!
Moreover, the event is used to pitch project ideas, contact with potential partners, exchange on project results, inform on previous and future calls and collaborations etc. to foster collaboration and exchange within the Hamburg EU-Project Actor Ecosystem.
