Project Spotlights: Aligned Efforts in Dark Sky Preservation
Plan-B, The Path Towards Addressing Adverse Impacts of Light and Noise Pollution on Terrestrial Biodiversity and Ecosystems, aims to find evidence that challenges the effects of light and noise pollution on European ecosystems.
AquaPLAN aims to measure the combined effects of light and noise pollution on aquatic biodiversity in European waters and to support the implementation of effective strategies for managing these pollutants using new interdisciplinary methods.
The KID project aimed to develop a robust, long term system for monitoring the excessive and misdirected artificial light in the environment. Earlier this year, the project concluded, but we're excited to continue their important work forward in DARKER SKY!
Kick-off for a new light pollution project! DARKERSKY4CE – Strategic Transnational Approach to Reduce Light pollution in Central Europe – is an Interreg Central Europe project and aims to reduce light pollution in central Europe by changing how it is perceived by policy makers, tourism facilities, tourists and locals.
