We are pleased to officially invite you to the DARKER SKY Mid-Term Event on 25 March 2025 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, hosted at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
At this halfway point of our journey, we will present our progress in supporting municipalities and ports in the North Sea Region with light-reduction solutions to protect nature. Based on the received feedback from the DARKER SKY stakeholders, the programme will feature expert discussions and presentations on:
- Our demonstrator sites: progress and insights
- Ecological effects of light pollution and their monitoring
- Municipal lighting plans: Discussing co-design approaches and awareness gaps among key stakeholders
- Visit to our demonstrator site in Holwerd
