CFI: Pilot 1 - Bring Your Own Print

Main content

The idea stems from the belief that, within a network, we can and should learn from each other by sharing our experiences when we meet in different settings.

Center for Industry organizes a minimum of four network meetings annually, where all companies participate. Often, several company representatives attend, typically 1–2 employees who work with 3D technologies in various capacities, such as designers, engineers, operators, and material specialists. Additionally, middle managers and company owners occasionally participate on an ad-hoc basis.

This setup has created a unique forum for exchanging hands-on experiences at an operational level, which can then be shared with others in an informal and natural manner. These regular network meetings now feature the Bring Your Own Print theme, where individual participants—who work daily with 3D technologies—take the lead in shaping discussions.

In practice, participants from different companies are seated at six-person tables, fostering informal experience-sharing and mutual learning. This setup enables discussions on solutions, materials, design, printing technologies, printer selection, post-processing, and much more across the table.

At the same time, the process helps build strong relationships between stakeholders, who also meet one-on-one in their respective companies to continue knowledge-sharing.

This initiative has thus created a unique forum that ensures the shortest possible path to achieving results while also fostering strong connections among key industry professionals working with the 3D technologies of the future.
