Annual Partnership Conference, 23 - 25 April 2024, Stenvad Mosebrug in Denmark
Every year the SIRR partnership meets to follow up on the status in the project, discuss common challenges and opportunities and get to know one of the pilots/hubs in the project better. This year the project partner Stenvad Mosebrug hosted the conference.
At the partnership conference we got to know Stenvad Mosebrug and Norddjurs Municipality better, and delved deeper into challenges and potentials related to local civil society from a Multi Helix perspective. There was a lot of focus on dialogue, exchange of knowledge and good examples, spending time together and learning more about the location and hub in Stenvad!
Shared key insights from the partnership meeting:
- Communication is important! A lot of focus will further be on history, storytelling and on enhancing both internal and external communication strategies
- Use what’s around your local hub! Identifying and utilizing local meeting venues for different target groups
- Finding common ground with your stakeholders! Recognizing similarities among partners and stakeholders for effective collaboration and to shape common long-term visions
- Use history and culture for local cohesion and resilience in rural areas! Integration and exploring how history and culture can enrich your hub development and rural area in general
- Networking is gold!
- Participants emphasized working together for long-term community benefits!
We had great days together with both fun and productive project work. Looking forward to see the road map of activites coming up!
Many thanks to Dorthe Lyk, Ikki Lyng and Søren Østergård Madsen who hosted the SIRR Partnership Conference 2024!
We were welcomed with a dinner in the evening at Bønneruphuset, where we had the opportunity to relax and chat after the long journey for many of us. We started our first day by going to Stenvad Mosebrug where we got a guided tour of the museum and meeting venue and learned about its history. We then sat down and we also reviewed the status of the project together, discussed challenges and opportunities and talked about the next steps forward.
Mayor Kasper Bjerregård welcomed us to the municipality. In addition, we also had Professor Eva Sørensen who gave an inspiring presentation and workshop on co-creation between different actors, with a special focus on challenges and opportunities. The day ended in a pure team-building spirit as we were divided into groups to cook together, with 70 dinner guests from the local civil society invited.
The last day of the partnership conference was filled with rewarding workshops where we discussed how we can work with use e-learning to create an understanding of rural sustainable development. The workshop took place while staying in a beautiful historical place.
It doesn't get any better than this, thank you for these fulfilling days!
We look forward to the next Partnership Conference 2025 in France!
