From September 17th to 22nd, a week-long event promoted sustainable mobility through activities like electric bike tours, a new cycle path inauguration, bike repair workshops, and a carpooling day, all aimed at encouraging residents to explore local transport options and reduce their carbon footprint.
On 17th September – a bicycle ride to discover electric bike and local producers was organised with the goal of showing residents that it is possible to go to local producers by bicycle. Wednesday 18th September was the main focus for the week and celebrated the opening of a new cycle path, a bike repair workshop, served up delicious biker smoothie’s and provided information to citizens on sustainable mobility and gave them the opportunity to try out electric bikes. Friday 20th September saw the launch of the new solidarity transport service. Over the final weekend, Saturday 21st September, the week concluded with a carpooling day with people being encouraged to share experiences and pictures over a community breakfast. The Sunday saw the official inauguration of the new cycle path.
