Accelerated sea-level rise and other climate change effects are threatening dyke systems, dunes, coastal wetlands, and current land use (agriculture, hunting, recreation). It is a challenge to combine different approaches in a territorial perspective with a dedicated cross bay governance (combining different administrational areas) and changing the perspective from coastal defense to an integrated approach. This pilot will integrate NbS, dyke planning and land use through developing steering committees, scientific and participative monitoring, giving workshops, developing a business case, and institutional embedding through PAPI.
