Internal kick-off event

March 13th and 14th we will celebrate the launch of MANABAS during a kick-off event near on of our pilot sites The Sand Motor.It will bring together the partners and observers of this project, which works on MAinstreaming NAture BAsed Solutions through COASTal systems.

Nature-based Solutions (NbS) contribute to the ambition of creating a Blue Economy and generate climate resilience, while providing benefits for human well-being and biodiversity. Nevertheless, a wide-scale application and implementation, or mainstreaming of NbS has not become a common practice yet. How do we implement the enabling factors for mainstreaming NbS? This Kick-off Event takes on this question, in celebration of the launch of the MANABAS COAST project. 

At the Kick-off Event the new 5-year project will officially be launched by the Steering Group, which consists of representatives of all partners. We will jointly experience the project objectives and will discuss the first steps in our journey. This involves presentations, panel discussions and a field visit to a coastal NbS. Dialogue and networking will follow over the lunches, drinks and dinner.
