Since the kick-off meeting in Malmö in December, the LISTEN project has been buzzing with activity.
These are some of the recent developments:
Comparative Analysis: In January and February, The County Administrative Board of Skåne, ADICE, and Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune conducted a comparative analysis. The focus of the analysis? Assessing the state of children’s rights in each partner country. The insights gained were interesting and highlighted that although all our countries have committed to actively work with children’s rights, the methods employed doing so can vary greatly between the countries. The analyzed finding has been compiled into a report, which you can access in the document library on the LISTEN webpage.
Local Engagement: All the partners have also been hard at work engaging with local actors in each partner location and will continue to do so during the rest of the spring. These local presentations serve a dual purpose: disseminating information about the project and fostering connections with relevant actors onwards. By reaching out to relevant stakeholders, we’re paving the way for their eventual involvement in the project’s Local Action Groups, which are an important component of our upcoming work in the project during the fall.
Focus onwards: As we move into spring, the LISTEN project will focus its attention on gathering good examples from each partner location. Within the context of the LISTEN project, a ‘good example’ refers to any method, institution, creative solution, or form of collaboration that has successfully proven to enhance the participation of children in a local or regional context and that has the potential to be replicated elsewhere. All partners have until middle of May to collect and formalize the good examples they wish to highlight and advance onwards within the project.
Partner meeting in Roubaix: Partners have until the beginning of May to collect and formalize their chosen good examples. These examples will then take the center stage during our next partner meeting in Roubaix, France, scheduled for May 28th and 29th. Our goal? To identify the most impactful and replicable examples to discuss onwards and incorporate into the final product of the project: an operational manual on how to strengthen children’s participation at the local and regional levels.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our work with promoting children’s rights and participation!
Best regards,
