TOP Mehrwert, a Hamburg-based SME logistics service provider, specializes in delivering added value and technical services in B2B and B2C logistics. With a strong background in research and development projects, The company owns expertise in Service Management, new technologies, and Logistics Systems Optimization. TOP’s strategic goal is to diversify transportation options for decarbonization.

Role in the Project
TOP’s role includes serving as the user/operator and implementing organization for the Hamburg use case within the Northern German FFC.

WP1:

• Conceptual work on modal shift in Freight flow.

WP2:

•   Greening retail supply chain through urban waterway transport.
•   Executing  a pilot transport from itsstorage to HafenCity Überseequartier.
•   Developing a business case and operator models.
•   Implementing the Hamburg use case pilot action to promote market uptake.

WP3:

• Identifying sustainable urban freight streams for IWT stakeholders and create a strategy and roadmap (Fit for 55) for the FFC.
