KLU's expertise lies in sustainability, value creation, and digital transformation. The Centre for Shipping and Global Logistics (CSGL), supported by Hapag-Lloyd, conducts maritime research. CSGL aims to enhance the maritime industry's competitiveness by combining academic research with practical experience. It focuses on improving operational and environmental performance in the maritime and port sector, offering expertise in policy design, innovative technologies (e.g., wind-assisted propulsion systems, digitalization, and automation), and alternative fuels from a business, logistics, and sustainability perspective.
Role in the Project
In this project, KLU plays a crucial role with specific responsibilities across Work Packages (WPs):
WP2:
- Understanding stakeholders' perspectives in the supply chain.
- Analyzing implications of technologies and solutions for green inland waterway solutions.
WP3:
- Leading "Guidance and market uptake."
- Developing business case strategy.
- Defining implications of adopted technologies.
- Creating business case framework for InnoWaTr FFCs.
- Developing "Fit for 55 Roadmap."
- Supporting knowledge creation and dissemination.
- Showcasing InnoWaTr2.0 Roadmap business use cases.
