KOTUG is a leading global ship management operator with a fleet of over 100 vessels, encompassing inland pushers, tugs, line handlers, AHTS, offshore support, and escort vessels. It focuses on innovation, emphasizing assets, people, and digital platform development, driven by the energy transition. Notable achievements include pioneering the first zero-emission classified workboat, award-winning ship designs, a 360-degree bridge simulator, and the use of advanced technologies like our ERP system Tug-vision and AI-based routing through KOTUG Optiport. its commitment extends to developing emission-free logistics solutions for the entire shipping supply chain.
Role in the Project
In this project, KOT plays a crucial role in three work packages:
WP1:
- Serving as a shipowner in the "First Middle Last Mile Logistics Waste" to allocate positions and collaborate effectively.
WP2:
- Developing remote-controlled E-Pusher with a focus on hardware for a virtual experience in the Logistic Digital Twin.
- Gaining experience in biogas-electric propulsion and perform business modeling of OPEX and CAPEX operations.
WP3
- Exploring the feasibility of a use case pilot with OMR for competitive and sustainable shipping solutions.
- Demonstrating the adaptability of our E-Pusher Series to various energy sources.
- Designing scalable solutions for ports, terminals, and city logistics.
- Contributing to a strategic white paper on E-Pusher Chain integration and provide live demonstrations to industry stakeholders in NSR regions.
