Relevant Thematic Competences and Experiences
CIRCOE, a spin-off of Le Havre port, offers a wide range of competences and experiences that are highly relevant to the project. These include a strong European network and connections with logistics players in Normandy. Furthermore, CIRCOE is supported by the Normandy Region and holds certification as a "Technological Resource Centre" by the French Ministry of Research. The organization's primary focus is on promoting economic development through logistics innovation. CIRCOE is skilled in optimizing logistics processes, which encompasses the application of LEAN Management and the use of logistics software tools like FLEXSIM and TRANSEPT. CIR also possesses a proven ability to implement innovative tools for logistics improvement and conduct business model reviews. Additionally, CIRCOE has gained significant experience in experimenting with groundbreaking logistical concepts at a European level.
Role in the Project
CIRCOE's contributions and main activities in the InnoWaTr2.0 project are divided into three work packages (WP):
WP1:
- CIRCOE serves as the manager
WP2:
- Collaborating with SOG to analyze flows and needs for the H2 pilot in the French FFC.
- Addressing data needs for traceability and GHG emissions.
- Collecting traceability and GHG emissions data for future projections related to Seine Axis Fit for 55 targets.
- Calculating various KPIs to optimize the business model in partnership with Sogestran and VNF.
WP3:
- Developing roadmaps towards achieving Fit 4-55 targets.
Benefits of Participation
Participating in the InnoWaTr2.0 project offers several benefits to CIR:
- Facilitate the greening of Inland Water Transportation (IWT) in Normandy by gaining insights into FFC dynamics and asset management.
- Share and learn best practices from other project partners.
- Promote the River Seine axis for improved logistics and sustainability.
- Create a transferable demonstrator for Future Freight Corridor (FFC).
- Join a North Sea Interreg program for the first time, thereby establishing a new network.
