Hardly a seat was left at the Connected River workshop, which took place on 4th of July at the maritime tech festival “HOMECOMING homePORT ” in Hamburg....

At the beginning of July, a second user meeting with active users of the Spiegelwaal area took place. This time with a smaller group; there were swimmers, rowers, and anglers....

The World Canal Conference was held in Bydgoszcz (Poland) from 24 to 27 June 2024. The city of Bydgoszcz teamed up with Inland Waterways International (IWI) to host the conference, on the theme “challenges between ecology and economic uses: sustainable revitalisation of canals focusing on nature”....

On April 25th the project manager of the pilot area in Vordingborg had invited colleagues from different internal departments of the municipality to join the first workshop within the Connected River Project....

In mid-April, the project partners came together in Stockholm for their 6th Consortium Group Meeting and exchanged experiences from the pilot areas. A special focus was placed on the replication partners and on the "Nordic Case"....

The project partner Rijkswaterstaat starts with the first experiment in the pilot area IJ Amsterdam. Their aim is to find out whether they can influence recreational boaters to choose a different route by using signs with a positive message and to make the waterways safer.  ...

At this moment, it’s still a bit chilly and windy, but in a few months, the Spiegelwaal area could become a real tropical spot to seek some cooling....
