First trap in Germany installed

Today, on the 29^th of May the first trap in Germany, was put into operation in Bremerhaven. It is intended to prevent the migration of mitten crabs into a nature reserve upstream. - very low current

- 10- 20 cm layer of mud on the bottom

- dense aquatic vegetation

- no reportings of crabs at this location

- crab migration over land observed in a neighboring water body
