The roadmap tool was used in 3 specific workshops, in order to draw the roadmap for 3 different countries: Sweden, France and the Netherlands. To achieve this, biogas experts from public institutions, biogas companies or energy suppliers were gathered in 3 focus groups for each country.
A focus group is a qualitative research method that gathers a small group of carefully selected participants to engage in in-depth discussions about a specific topic. This allows researchers to obtain detailed information about the participants' opinions, attitudes, and perceptions. This approach encourages free exchanges and enables the exploration of emerging ideas. Focus groups are particularly useful for understanding the nuances and social dynamics surrounding a given theme, making them a remarkable tool for harnessing collective intelligence.
3 roadmaps were built as a result of the specific workshops: these roadmaps are designed to provide local authorities with key insights and guidance on understanding, interpreting, and taking action regarding the existing actor system. It also outlines preferred dialogues to establish or expand, identifies the necessary actors based on their influence on the project, and offers recommendations on organizing the stages of territorial dialogue in accordance with the procedural calendar.
