Lille - Petit Gris

Context

The Petit gris neighbourhood is a social housing complex made of 261 housing units. Its architecture is typical of the 1970s (when urban planning and biodiversity weren't a priority) and will be renovated very soon. The City of Lille seizes the opportunity of this renovation to develop the green space located in the centre of the buildings.  

Planned Actions  

  1. Follow-up of the ecological diagnosis of the green spaces
  2. Technical support in defining the project for the residences' outdoor spaces, particularly with a view to promoting ecological space
  3. Organisation of workshops with residents to co-construct these spaces and raise awareness of future planted landscaping.
  4. Reflection on governance procedures for these green spaces (from a social housing perspective)
