Aim of the conference:
- To share North Sea Region state of art knowledge about 3 selected crops for biomaterials: hemp, cattail and flax.
- To demonstrate that with in EU there are mayor regulatory differences and that by learning from each other we may succeed better and faster
Target groups for the conference:
Academia and practicians. Primary focus on materials and construction but we hope to see whole value chain represented from farmer to builder.
Content:
- Presentations & debate
- Bio Based Building Materials display
If you want to exhibit biobased material, please contact mej@guldborgsund.dk
Join the conference:
Register before September 22nd here
Participation is free of charge but there is a “no show fee” of DKK 300.

Aim of the group work.
To demonstrate that within EU there are mayor regulatory differences and that by learning from each other, we may succeed the transformation to more bio based better and faster. Based on the insights of the participants and “enablers” and “disablers” defined for B, D, DK, F and NL in FACT SHEETS provided by BBoBB, we independently of country that put together the enabling regulation that will offer a fast and sustainable track to green transition in bio based building. And we identify the mayor “disabling” regulations that need to be revised in order not to stop transition.
Fact sheet. Each fact sheet represents a regulative demand or support i.e. thresholds for fire, personal protection requirements for handling or “expected lifetime definitions”, investment support for processing equipment etc. that may be regarded as “enabling” or “disabling” transition to bio based.
The groups will each work with value chains based on one of the three crops (hemp, flax or cattail). In each group will be representatives with practical building experience i.e. Biosintrum, Hampens Hus, 3N and other with experience - to make sure there is a concrete context to relate to.
