Renewable energy and electrification are central parts of the green transition and key to regional energy independence.

Interreg North Sea projects offer tested, scalable solutions that work across different countries and policy frameworks, and help build capacity and skills to fit emerging markets. However, the transition must be fair, ensuring no one is left behind. That is why some projects focus on communities and affordable energy.

Our projects help reach Europe's ambitions for wind and solar energy, bioenergy, and the vision of the North Sea as a European power hub. They also bring core European policy to practice, such as the EU Renewable Energy Directive, RePowerEU, and the EU hydrogen strategy.
