We are reflecting on two dynamic and successful days in the beautiful city of Mechelen with all the partners of the WaterWarmth consortium!
November 22 and 23 were two exciting days. The WaterWarmth consortium got together again. These days we shared our progress and strenghtened our cooperation. We also make time for study visits: during the partner meeting we did exciting and interesting site visits to novel aquathermal energy projects.
One of those visits were the Dijlemolens in Leuven, a residential complex where the heat pump is linked with the river Dijle and where houses are heated by aquathermal energy. This project shows cooperative aquathermal energy in full force! It demonstrates both the heating potential of sustainable aquathermal energy and the importance and value of a well functioning energy community. Residents are essential for the success of this development.
It is great to see the dedicated WaterWarmth partners with shared motivation and eagerness to learn from each other. Thanks to all the attending partners and the City of Mechelen for organizing the meeting and site visits. We are looking forward to the excited journey ahead!
