In November 2024, the city of Gothenburg gave a warm welcome to all the partners from STORM_SAFE during the annual meeting. In this video, Gunnel Helgeson from the city of Gothenburg shares her enthusiasm for the collaboration within the STORM_SAFE project.
Gunnel Helgeson, program manager high water protection exploitation administration from the city of Gothenburg, is looking forward to working together and hopes that the collaboration will develop and give the results we wish and think. "The city of Gothenburg is very grateful to be involved as a partner in project STORM_SAFE and thus be able to take part of all the knowledge and experience that exists within the project. We are looking forward to show our existing system and strategies for flood risk management. But also how we believe we can secure the city of Gothenburg with flood protection, that is, protect the city from the future high flows and high-water levels. A participation in STORM_SAFE will give Gothenburg important input and the possibility to learn from others that have more experience in monitoring and regulation of flood protection systems. The project will also allow for Gothenburg to contribute with an interesting case study that hopefully will give the other partners valuable knowledge." Gunnel is looking forward to hearing the reflections of the partners and how they think we should act strategically as we build on our system.
