Development Site in Mechelen: Oud Oefenplein

The Oud Oefenplein project in Mechelen, developed by Woonmaatschappij Rivierenland, is a large-scale social housing initiative featuring 458 apartments and a community service center. Designed to accommodate 1,593 residents from diverse backgrounds, the development fosters an inclusive and supportive living environment.

A key component of the project is the Hoppin mobility hub, which offers sustainable transport solutions including public transport passes, bike infrastructure, and carsharing options. The project is planned for a four-year mobility integration period, ensuring long-term accessibility and connectivity.
