Fietstaxi: Bicycle Taxi

De Fietsambassade Gent provides a bicycle taxi for anyone who is less mobile and needs a short trip in Ghent.

Do you have an appointment at the hairdresser, are you visiting family or do you just want to get some fresh air, but do you have difficulty moving independently? The bicycle taxi will happily transport you!

The drivers of the bicycle taxis are a mix of newcomers and less new Ghent residents. They received a solid training to drive the bicycle taxi.

The bicycle taxi is there for all less mobile people in Ghent , regardless of age.

You can also use the bicycle taxi if you  are temporarily less mobile  , for example due to a broken leg.

• A  rickshaw  can carry 2 passengers, with a maximum of 160 kg in total. Or 1 person can fit in the rickshaw together with a foldable walker.
• Do you use a wheelchair? Then we can transport you with our wheelchair bike . You simply remain seated in your wheelchair. One of our drivers will pick you up with an adapted wheelchair transport bike.
