In February, the partners gathered for the 5th partner meeting in Zwolle, Netherlands. Partners presented their current status of the pilots and the further steps. The meeting offered the partners a great chance to share ideas and collaborate on innovative solutions.
NICE started the meeting with a refreshing workshop brought by the professionals from Natuurmonumenten, the group learned the flood management history and strategy of Zwolle as well as how the material is recycled and reused. During the field walk, the group visited the flood control dam infrastructure.
A welcome remark is given by Jeroen van den Ende, the managing director of Port of Zwolle. Next, REDII Ports partners presented their recent progresses on their pilots and activities. The partners also had a workshop on the topic of circularity, discussing the 7 Pillars of circular economy: materials / energy / water / biodiversity / society & culture / health&wellbeing / value.
The second day’s meeting was held at the port area of Zwolle. The partners continued the presentations and the major changes of the project were announced in the end. This session was closed with a wonderful port tour.
