Parcel Locker Locations

Realised Experiments

  • Municipality of Aalborg has together with its partners opened new boxes for citizens to hand in their hazardous waste
  • Smart parcel lockers can be used for distribution (e.g. parcel delivery) as well as waste management and recycling (etc. packaging material, old batteries)
  • In addition to receiving and sending parcels, the boxes can be used to recycle used textiles, dispose of household hazardous waste, lend library books and other applications in the future
  • Citizens of Aalborg can also collect bags for food waste and residual waste in the multifunctional boxes
  • Citizens in rural areas of Aalborg Municipality can borrow books from the library and return them to a multifunctional box near their home
  • At the Sustainability Festival Aalborg 2024, they tested whether a new deposit box could be a solution for using reusable packaging and avoiding disposable packaging
