The smart locking station Locky was claimed as winner of the Smart Pedal Pitch 2024, hosted during Velo-city, one of the world’s biggest annual cycling conferences, bringing together policy makers, advocates and cycling industry representatives for more cycle-friendly cities.
The competition, for which MegaBITS partnered with the European Cyclists' Federation, Cycling Industries Europe, imec, and the city of Ghent, seeks the most innovative and market-ready cycle tech solutions, to shape the future of cycling in cities.
Since then, Locky has seen a fast progress, with over 20 stations already installed across Brussels, the company aims to reach 75 stations in its key communes by December 2024. Locky also announced that it will soon arrive in Ghent, offering secure, eco-friendly bike parking solutions to even more cities.
