In their paper, titled “MegaBITS: Greening Urban Mobility through Smart Cycling” they will describe the lessons learnt from the 30+ ITS implementations in the BITS project, the first results of the MegaBITS project and the role of connected cycling.
The digital transition of the cycling sector not only results in ITS systems for cyclist, but also generates more and better data on cycling, giving cycling data a more prominent role in the overall mobility data domain (National Access Points, Mobility Data Spaces), thus contributing the ITS Directive and its Delegated Regulations.
