This year's edition of beyondgas, which took place in Oldenburg from 5 to 7 September, marked another successful chapter in the development of the hydrogen community. After a promising start in 2022, players from the hydrogen industry met again to discuss the latest developments and challenges.

We had the opportunity to present our LIHYP project at this important platform and are pleased with the insights gained and new contacts made, paving the way for future developments in the hydrogen economy. Beyondgas 2023 was another milestone on the way to a sustainable and cooperative hydrogen future.

According to the claim "Paving the way for the hydrogen economy", beyondgas 2023 offered an excellent conference programme that covered the entire H2 value chain. The event focussed on energy policy, regulation, the development of the hydrogen economy and a comprehensive look at the development of the H2 market.

The eight break-out sessions enabled a professional deep-dive and exchange of experiences on key topics such as H2 generation, transport & storage, financing & investment, H2 marketing, distribution system operators, H2 regions, H2 trading and the special perspective of the partner country Denmark.

A special focus lied on the European perspective and cooperation, with Denmark playing a key role as a partner country. With a delegation from the embassy and leading H2 companies such as Orsted and energinet.dk, beyondgas 2023 became an important hub for bilateral cooperation between Germany and Denmark.
