The main tasks of the University of Oldenburg in the project are:

Detector Development and Instrumentation:

• develop a new DSLR or consumer cam measurements system
• extend the Sky-Quality Camera system towards a long-term measurement system 
• set up a device comparison station and prepare comparison-options for future measurement systems
• provide the 'light-polluted' German test environment for the KID project
• development of calibration and comparison methods

Public Awareness:

• act as contact point for outreach and public information of light-pollution in the North-West Region

Ecology:

• upscale and connection to wildlife research groups (e.g. birds)
