While we’re still enjoying the summer, GRITH partners from Vejle Municipality are planning ahead for an eventful autumn. Making hay while the sun shines, you could say. September sees the start of a whole range of relevant activities for the coming months.
First there’s a small conference for Danish-speaking stakeholders on green energy, sector coupling and energy communities. Then a day trip to the Skive Energy Lab, aiming to inspire innovative businesses regarding the transition to efficient and greener energy sources, while a whole series of activities is lined up for the autumn to support a potential energy collaboration in Vejle South.
Conference to inspire
The mini conference focuses on sustainable energy and how business sectors can work together to create a more efficient and green future. This event will take place on September 12th at AI Innovation House in the Dandy Business Park in Vejle - a hub for those passionate about technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence. Inspirational speakers from the Confederation of Danish Industry and Ramboll will share their knowledge and perspectives on energy and collaboration across sectors and industries. Avedøre Green City and Vejle Municipality will present their work with energy planning, collaboration and communities. You can access the full (Danish) programme here.
Creating an energy collaboration
In a June meeting, companies in the Vejle South area decided to collaborate with the Technological Institute and the Alexandra Institute. These organizations have been tasked, in conjunction with the companies, to explore opportunities for energy collaboration. As a result, a series of activities are now planned for this autumn, beginning with the collection of detailed energy data from the companies present in June, which is currently being analyzed by the two institutes. Based on this energy profile, various energy solution scenarios will be developed in workshops. The process will conclude in January 2025, when the companies decide whether or not to move forward with an energy collaboration and create an action plan for this initiative.
Meanwhile in Give
Meanwhile, a one-day trip to Skive Energy Lab has been arranged for 30 participants on September 19th, targeting innovative companies in the Give area. The aim of the event is to make the plans for Give Energy Park more tangible and to disseminate knowledge about the potential developments of the park, including solar, wind, and biogas energy. The event will also explore the opportunities that the energy park may present.
