The darkest and shortest days are upon us and now we’re closing shop for the holiday season, it’s time to wind down, reflect and take stock. Let’s dim it!
‘Beginning of the end’
The closing declaration at the most recent United Nations Climate Change Conference resonates. The outcome of this COP28 climate top in Dubai was cited as ‘the beginning of the end’… of the fossil fuel era. “Now all governments and businesses must turn pledges into real-economy outcomes, without delay,” said UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell.
We’re working on it
Since the project’s approval in April this year, the GRITH consortium is working on it, focusing on the transformation of industrial sites into renewable hotspots by re-thinking public support and new business and operation models. Accessing the collective potential, the project aims to raise the share of renewable energy to 40% of consumption at participating industrial sites, reaching the EU’s 2030 goal.
Seasons Greetings
As part of this future-proof perspective, the energy transition and a raised awareness for the impacts of climate change ,we’re also slowly developing a new Christmas season narrative. Santa can stay… but with a lean and green make-over. The GRITH partners are dimming it for a couple of weeks but will be back in the new year - renewed and re-energized – to continue on the path towards climate neutrality in 2050.
Wishing all our GRITH partners, stakeholders and associates a Merry Christmas, Seasons Greeting & Happy Holidays!
