Major change in parnership FREIIA

Freiia concerns a project in the Governance priority. On Schiermonnikoog, it was partnered with ‘Natuurmonumenten’ and the municipality was also involved. As the project progressed, we found out more and more that it was strange that this contruction was chosen. After all, the municipality is the main governmental player on the island. We are therefore pleased that the secretariat allowed us to make a change in the partnership. Natuurmonumenten's budget actually included the budget for the municipality. This has been divided between the two. This completes the partnership and we have been able to include the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog as a (sub)partner in our partnership.

With this change, we were able to correct a mistake. The activities of the ‘Ontwikkelfabriek’ were carried out by the University of Groningen. Their budget was allocated to the University of Groningen and the Development Factory was set to inactive.

The monitoring committee agreed to these changes. The partnership is thus operational for the last and also most important year. A year in which many activities are carried out and together we can finalise many important issues.
