Herb-rich grassland for dairy farmers

On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, a successful demo day took place in Berlare (Flanders, Belgium), focusing on productive herb-rich grasslands. During the afternoon demonstration, farmers gained valuable insights into the benefits of herb-rich grasslands. Daniël, a dairy farmer, shared his experiences with starting and integrating herbs into his fodder for the cows. Tuur Vandeweyer, an expert in nature-inclusive farming, provided tips for a successful approach and emphasized that herb-rich grassland can yield up to €2000 extra per hectare.
