Fraunhofer Institute and DIOL were present at the "European Rotors 2023". The event, taking place on 28-30 November in Madrid, is the one-and-only European event where it is possible to meet the entire vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) community. The European Helicopter Association (EHA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have teamed up to create this showcase, which has reached its 3rd edition, enabling the relevant industry and operators to attend training sessions, interactive workshops, enriching conferences and the VTOL Safety Symposium.
Since one of DIOL´s objectives is to address the sensitive issue of balancing the shared space use of helicopters and UAVs-drones servicing the offshore wind parks and energy islands, the exhibition was a unique opportunity for DIOL to exchange views with regulatory authorities on the topic of a safe and cohesive future air traffic management.
