French partner HABITER2030 is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting trans-disciplinary educational projects to improve the living environment.
The Hauts-de-France region nurtures high quality academic competences and is an important industrial sector. The region faces real challenges in terms of industrial conversion and environmental changes.
Acceleration axes
Together with Habiter2030 ENSAPL and CD2E, Habiter2030 will accelerate the transition to a circular building material economy on three axes:
- Anticipating re-use in design and construction
- Defining aesthetics of circularity in (landscape) architecture: standards, certification and insurance concerns.
- Engaging regional stakeholders for circularity, covering all aspects of re-using building materials (capture, storage, sale, etc).
Training programmes
Habiter2030 will share valuable experience on transition theory and reach out to an extensive stakeholder network. In CTB, ENSAPL and Habiter2030 are developing training programmes for designers, developers and authorities, while also contributing knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM) systems.
Additionally, Habiter2030 will contribute to the development of trans-disciplinary, professional education and post doctoral research.
The Habiter2030 CTB Team
New to the Interreg NSR Programme, our French partners are enthusiastic to join this strong innovation network. As winner of the Solar Décathlon Europe 2019 and the Lille World Design Capital Award, Habiter2030 is a valuable partner for the Circular Trust Building consortium.
The project also gives Habiter2030 access to resources, knowledge and experience on circular building materials in the North Sea Region. This is instrumental to their mission to move beyond the transitional limits of design, construction, and renovation. Moreover, through participation in CTB, Habiter2030 can help participating businesses, organizations and professionals to adopt and accelerate the transition to a circular building economy.
