GodaHus is a non-profit, member-owned association that unites stakeholders from the construction value chain in the southeast of Sweden regarding energy efficiency and circular construction. Members include property owners, entrepreneurs, architectes, consultants and waste operators.
Testing circular building methods
Although circular construction is rather new in the Kronoberg region, there are a few GodaHus members with experience regarding reuse inventories, gentle demolition and reusing materials in new or refurbished buildings - so far on a small scale.
Within the framework of CTB, public-owned company Vöfab, (responsible for school buildings) and the Region Kronoberg´s construction division (responsible for hospital buildings) will investigate circular building methods to gain more knowledge and experience by:
- Increasing the capacity and know-how in circular construction
- Testing circular building methods in two pilot project
- Establishing agreements for circular construction
Circularity collaborations
GodaHus' strength is organizing sustainable and circularity collaborations. Circular building is complex but cooperation within the sector is key for further development and success. Together with Linnaus University, GodaHus will offer training modules in circular construction for interested professionals and/or students and develop tailor-made courses for decision makers/politicians.
Together with the public, business and educational sectors in the region, gentlemans agreements will be made, creating a demand for circular building services and a market for reused building material.
The Godahus CTB team
GodaHus will contribute to and learn from the transnational partners' experiences of circular building techniques and policy making in the field, while also jointly developing new strategies.
