CD2E supports, advises and train companies and local authorities in the sectors of sustainable building, renewable energy and circular economy toaccelerate ecological transition in the whole Hauts-de-France region, and sometimes beyond.
Based in Loos-en-Gohelle, in the heart of a major mining area, reuse and recycling are often chosen to rehabilitate the old industrial sites while preserving their heritage. At the same time, developing the circular economy has become an obvious choice given the ecological context.
Empowering stakeholders
Since 2002, CD2E has gathered more than 200 members, including startups, small and large companies, local authorities and administrations, offering training, networking and business development support. Participation in Circular Trust Building directly contributes to the four areas of the Third Industrial Revolution in which CD2E unites and empowers stakeholders:
- Sustainable Building
- Renewable Energy
- Circular Economy
- Sustainable Procurement
Training & innovation
CD2E will reach out to its stakeholder network and share experiences with circular construction while also developing upskilling training for professionals, establishing a growing circle of innovative practices. Additionally, CD2E will contribute to the design of transdisciplinary professional education and postdoctoral research to support CTB solutions.
As with the other French partners, CD2E is new to the North Sea Region Programme. They are enthusiastic to join the strong NSR innovation network and through Circular Trust Building directly contribute with newsolutions and strategies.
The CD2E Project Team
The CTB project gives CD2E access to resources, knowledge, and experience on circular building materials in the North Sea Region. Moreover, through participation, CD2E can help its participating businesses, organizations and professionals to adopt and accelerate the transition to a circular building economy.
