During a recent meeting of their Interreg North Sea Region national subcommittee, our Swedish CTB partners were invited to present the project, its aims, purpose and progress. A great opportunity to ‘show and tell’ what Circular Trust Building is all about!

Purpose, pilots, progress
GodaHus, a member-owned association that unites stakeholders from the construction value chain, got the ball rolling. Representative Anders Lundgren introduced the importance of circularity in the construction industry and shared the organisation's role and pilot progress in the project so far.
This was followed by presentations by Krushna Mahapatra and Katarina Rupar-Gadd of Linnaeus University where the main task now is developing a transnational baseline analysis through a stakeholder survey amongst all CTB stakeholders. Taxonomy and the European Directive on Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSRD) were also part of the programme.

High interest topic
Together, the Swedish partners offer a course on the circularity of building materials. Taxonomy and the European Directive on Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSRD) were also part of their presentations.
The NSR subcommittee, chaired by Fahimeh Nordborg, was suitably impressed, not just with the smooth functioning of the CTB consortium as a whole, but also with the strength of this local cooperation. The subject of circular trust building in itself was a high interest topic for the audience, as was evident through the many questions and interactive discussions.

Anders Lundgren, Project Leader
On course
According to Anders, the meeting was very beneficial, offering the opportunity to share the value for all in working with colleagues across the North Sea region. “Sweden is not at the forefront in terms of circular construction and wooden buildings are less usual for other partners”, he remarked. “But the level of international exchange and cooperation within CTB was applauded. The positive feedback and assurance that we are on course is very encouraging.”
