Workshop 1 and Masterclass 1
We are off, the first workshop in the program is done!
During the first workshop of the program we focused a lot on why new innovative circular ideas are important for the world, why should we move from a linear business model to a circular business model. Katrien from UCLL gave a few examples of well known companies that have moved from a linear business model to a more circular business model and got the participants discussing on what R strategy these companies have implemented.
During the second half of the workshop we started by asking the participants to make an inventory of their resources, not only physical resources or money, but also knowledge, experience, contacts and more on an Opportunity Map. This is to make them aware of the resources we already have in store and we sometimes don't need to get more resources from somewhere else. It's the first principle of an agile way of working and is based on Saras Sarasvathys model for Effectuation.
With their opportunity maps they created ideas based on their own resources and chose two each to test with the environment so we know which idea we should continue with during the program. The only criteria is that the idea is circular.
We look forward to finding out which ideas our participants will continue with!
During the masterclass Katrien from UCLL, Mikaela from Ekocentrum and Lahcen from IMT Nord Europe gave an in depth learning session in circular business models, the SGNs and R-strategies. This knowledge will be updated during the entire program.
The next workshop and first assignments will be on the 19 of April
