About the pilot in Pevele Carembault

Furniture and fittings companies, joineries, woodworkers and training structures in the furniture and fittings sector are one of the special features of Pévèle Carembault. These organisations are also committed to reducing their environmental impact.

  • How can reuse be mass-produced?
  • What does it mean to reuse materials?
  • How can we innovate on a large scale?
  • How can we make furniture that is both design-led, ergonomic and re-used?
  • How can these approaches be standardised?

With these approaches and these partners, Pévèle Carembault is setting up an action plan comprising:

  • analysis of dismantling and upcycling processes, based on the layout of the future Pévèle Carembault headquarters,
  • training designers in furniture re-use techniques,
  • launching a design competition
Ultimately, the project will involve designing a workshop to produce upcycled furniture parts.
