The lead for ANCHOR’s demo case in Ghent (BE), DuCoop, was invited to present at Water Reuse Europe’s webinar: What is the place of decentralised wastewater treatment for water reuse in Europe?
Local cooperative DuCoop manages district services in The Nieuwe Dokken in Ghent, establishing a paradigm for real estate industry. It is the first Circular Economy Service Company, or CESCO for short, created for a district in Europe.
The webinar elaborated on the decentralized water treatment plant DuCoop is operating, and its integration in the cities water, energy and nutrient cycle. Project lead Dries Seuntjens discussed performance, experiences, drivers and future potential of Decentralized Water Treatment plants, based on the experiences from the case De Nieuwe Dokken.
